My journey in the Students’ Union started by joining the Core Committee. Under Abhinav Lamba, the General Secretary, I was able to learn about my college, its student bodies and their functioning. The on-ground experience I was able to learn in my clubs and the connections I built there further added on to that.

With that, I embraced my natural inclination to assist others, always ready to listen or offer help. These values became the cornerstone of my goal to drive meaningful changes within our campus.

Here are some of my initiatives:

Academic:

  1. Compiled Semester 2 grading for Group A & B of 2023 Batch.
  2. Hosted a Midsems-Preparation Talk for the 2024 Batch, with CTs and 9+ CG achievers from various batches.
  3. Made 20GB+ drives for Mechanical, Chemical and Manufacturing 2nd and 3rd Year students.
  4. Made a MATH F113 drive. And a separate drive for HuEls.
  5. Made last-moment Compre tips with the help of Course Toppers of previous semester.
  6. Made the first separate compiled drive for BPharma Students.
  7. Made the first year Acads drive for 2023 and 2024 Batch, which vastly covered all resources.
  8. Compiled dual and vertical shift allotment data for the Batch of 2023 and onwards.

Non-academic:

  1. Bought 50% discount on a women-only gym for female students of our campus to foster a safe environment for their 2025 fitness goals.
  2. Extended the Cloakroom storage service, helping all on-campus students store prevent their travel delays. Ideated the first in-campus C’not storage service for the summer vacation.
  3. Raised installation of WIFI at Looters & Tott.
  4. Worked with E-Cell of BITS Hyd, to collab on a talk with SaadSells, a sales professional with half a million followers on Instagram.
  5. Cleaning of Shivganga Pond which was infested with bacteria and had a poor pH level, posing significant health risks.
  6. Conducted E-Talk on building LinkedIn by 4 Bitsians: with a net total of 40Mn+ Impressions & 50k followers.
